Two of our installers spent a few days remodeling a bathroom and installing a walk-in tub in McAdoo last week.
The homeowners spent over a year researching their perfect bathroom remodel. Their home, which they had built in the 1970s, was long over due for an update. Mr. B very much wanted a tub that he could soak in, but was having trouble getting in and out of their current one. Mrs. B liked the idea of a tub but also liked the idea of a quick and easy to use walk-in shower.
To compromise, they spent hours with our estimators and office staff figuring out the perfect solution: make room for both in their bathroom.
Generally, ReBath Northeast does not do large remodels like this one, but Mr. and Mrs. B were very impressed by the construction knowledge our estimators and owner have and did not want anyone else installing their walk-in tub and shower.
Since Mr. B is a veteran, he was able to apply to the VA for some assistance with paying for his walk-in bathtub.
Bruce and Judd, our installers, began the job by tearing out all of the old bathroom materials and moving the plumbing around. Once they moved the plumbing and put up all new mold resistant board, they began installing the walk-in tub.
Mr. and Mrs. B chose a biscuit colored safety tub from San Spa. They wanted travertine 12″ simulated tile walls around it and it came with brushed nickel hardware.
In the shower area, they chose the same 12″ simulated tile in travertine. Mrs B. really liked the oil rubbed bronze colored fixtures so that is what they got in the shower area and on the vanity.
Our installers also installed a new bathroom floor. The homeowners chose Armstrong Alterna vinyl tile in the color Durango Clay. They also installed a new double vanity, toilet and lights.
The job took a few days longer than our usual bathroom remodels, but Mr. and Mrs. B absolutely love their perfect bathroom!
